A warm, fruity cake made effortlessly in a slow cooker, combining sweet cherry and tangy pineapple flavors.

  • 1 can cherry pie filling
  • 1 can crushed pineapple, drained
  • 1 box yellow cake mix
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1/2 cup chopped nuts (optional)
  • Whipped cream or vanilla ice cream (for serving, optional)

Instructions

  1. Spread the cherry pie filling evenly on the bottom of the slow cooker.
  2. Pour the crushed pineapple over the cherry filling.
  3. Sprinkle the dry cake mix evenly over the fruit layers.
  4. Drizzle the melted butter over the top of the cake mix. If using, sprinkle chopped nuts on top.
  5. Cover and cook on low for 120 to 180 minutes, or until the cake is set and the top is golden.
  6. Serve warm with whipped cream or ice cream, if desired.

Notes

Ensure to drain the crushed pineapple well to avoid excess liquid. Gluten-free cake mix can be used for a gluten-free version.
