A deliciously easy pumpkin dump cake made in the slow cooker, perfect for fall gatherings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 can (15 oz) pumpkin puree
  • 1 box (18.25 oz) yellow cake mix
  • 1 can (12 oz) evaporated milk
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1/2 cup butter, melted
  • 1 cup chopped nuts or chocolate chips (optional)

Instructions

  1. Combine the pumpkin puree, evaporated milk, eggs, sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg in a mixing bowl. Mix until well blended.
  2. Spray the Crock Pot with cooking spray and pour the pumpkin mixture into the bottom.
  3. Evenly sprinkle the dry cake mix over the pumpkin mixture.
  4. Drizzle the melted butter over the top of the cake mix.
  5. Cover and cook on low for 4-6 hours or until a toothpick inserted into the cake mix comes out clean.
  6. Serve warm, optionally topped with whipped cream.

Notes

For extra texture, consider adding chopped nuts or chocolate chips. Use pumpkin puree, not pumpkin pie filling, for the best flavor.
