A simple yet delicious dessert that combines the flavors of pecan pie and dump cake, perfect for gatherings.

Ingredients

  • 1 box yellow cake mix
  • 1 cup chopped pecans
  • 1 cup butter, melted
  • 1 cup corn syrup
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  2. Mix together the corn syrup, brown sugar, eggs, and vanilla extract in a large bowl. Stir until well combined.
  3. Pour the mixture into the prepared baking dish.
  4. Evenly sprinkle the yellow cake mix on top of the mixture in the baking dish.
  5. Drizzle the melted butter over the layer of cake mix.
  6. Sprinkle the chopped pecans on top.
  7. Bake for 45-50 minutes or until the top is golden brown and set.
  8. Allow to cool slightly before serving.

Notes

Serve warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream or whipped cream. Optionally dust with powdered sugar.
