- 1 box chocolate cake mix
- 1 can (21 oz) cherry pie filling
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 cup chocolate chips
- 1 cup chopped nuts (optional)
- 1/2 cup water
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Grease a 9×13 inch baking dish.
- Pour the cherry pie filling into the bottom of the dish.
- Sprinkle the dry chocolate cake mix evenly over the pie filling.
- Drizzle the melted butter over the cake mix.
- Sprinkle chocolate chips and nuts (if using) over the top.
- Pour water over the entire mixture.
- Bake for 45-50 minutes or until the top is set and a toothpick comes out clean.
- Let cool slightly before serving.
