Authentic Vietnamese iced coffee with sweetened condensed milk and bold robusta coffee.
1.5 tbsp dark roast Vietnamese coffee (Trung Nguyen or Cafe Du Monde)
2 tbsp sweetened condensed milk (Longevity Brand)
Boiling water
Ice cubes
1. Preheat the filter and glass with boiling water.
2. Add ground coffee to the phin filter and attach the press disk.
3. Bloom the coffee with a small amount of hot water for 30 seconds.
4. Fill the filter with hot water and allow to drip for 4-5 minutes.
5. Stir in sweetened condensed milk.
6. Pour over ice and serve.
For stronger brew, use two phins at once.
Freeze extra coffee into cubes to avoid dilution.
Experiment with coconut condensed milk for a vegan version.
